their review:
„This is a stunning meeting of slow, chugging electronics and Arabic vocals on one of dance music’s most idiosyncratic record labels, The Trilogy Tapes. Carl Gari is a three-piece band from Germany blending acoustic and synthetic timbres into dubbed-out grooves. Abdullah Miniawy is a Sufi chanter affiliated with a rising group of Egyptian artists who favor abstract, brooding electronic music. The EP was reportedly recorded in Cairo in just a few days, which makes sense considering how natural the confluence of styles sounds. Throughout the record, reverb haunts Miniawy’s voice, which sinks into the delayed, rippling percussion beneath it. „Ya Wayni“ is the standout, a poem that droops with pain on a beat with enough bounce to brighten the darkness.“

We’re performing at Masãfãt Festival London Sept 4th 2016
